Release Aug 2024 - v7.11.0

LBMS V7.11.0 Release Notes

Key Enhancements and Features

Optimize Notification Service for High-Volume Emails

The notification services have been optimized to handle large-scale email deliveries more efficiently. Load testing was conducted with a configuration designed for the enterprise clients, utilizing high-availability (HA) mode with auto-scaling enabled (2 Pods on HA mode + 1 Pod on demand).

Ability to Download User Management Exports as PDF

Users now have the capability to export user/role data in PDF format for non-editable records. Additionally, CSV exports remain available.

  • Audit trail exports will continue to use CSV.
  • By default, PDF files are compressed into ZIP format. Users can opt for GZ compression or no compression based on their needs.
  • Export permissions are restricted to users with access to the User Access Management module and Report module view permission.

Enhanced Member List Privacy

A new role-based permission, "View member list & filters", has been introduced to limit unnecessary exposure of member data.

  • This permission is disabled by default for all roles, except Super Admin.
  • Users without this permission cannot view the member list or apply filters but can still search for specific members using the search bar.
  • CRD Search functionality is also available for users without this permission, allowing them to search by card number.

Password Reset via Email & Self-Service Password Management

  • Password resets must now be completed through a secure reset link sent to the registered email address.
  • Basic password validation rules are now enforced.

Point Accrual Communication for Rule Engine Events

The Credit by Rule Engine event is now enabled to send email notifications upon successful point accrual for Transaction Type DR.

  • Members with Active or Suspended status can receive email notifications. However, points are awarded to members with any status, including Cancelled and Inactive.
  • Debit points via Rule Engine event is not implemented; hence, no emails are sent for debit transactions (e.g., manual points or TXN API).
  • Users must create templates for "Credit points via rule engine"; there are no default templates. If a template is not created, no emails will be sent, even if points are awarded.
  • The event supports multi-language templates and variable replacements.
  • Disabled templates will not send emails.

Detailed Information for Manual Points Credit/Debit

Users now have access to detailed information regarding credit/debit transactions initiated via Add/Remove Points.

  • Narration and transaction details are visible in reports, showing the breakdown of accrual, redemption, and expiry points.
  • Maker-Checker approval flows for manual points are logged, and Audit logs are generated for transparency.
