Suspend/Unsuspend a Member

Overview

The Suspend Member feature in Loyalife allows administrators to temporarily restrict an active member’s ability to redeem points in the loyalty program's marketplace. Suspended members cannot redeem points or participate in any marketplace-related activities until the suspension is lifted. This tool is useful for addressing non-compliance issues, or pausing a member’s participation in the program.

Please note, closed or inactive members cannot be suspended, as their accounts are not yet active.

Steps to Suspend a Member

1. Navigate to the Member Profile:

   • From the Members section in the left-hand panel, search for the member using their Relation Reference, Name, Phone Number, or Email.

2. Access the Action Menu:

• In the member's profile, locate the Action button in the top-right corner of the screen.
• Click the Action button to reveal a dropdown menu.

3. Select Suspend:

• In the dropdown menu, if the member is active, select the Suspend option.
• A pop-up window will appear with a warning, confirming that the member will no longer be able to redeem points in the marketplace.
• Click Confirm to proceed with the suspension.

Effects of Suspension

• Points Redemption Restriction:
  Once suspended, the member cannot redeem points or access marketplace activities. They will remain suspended until the suspension is lifted.
• Temporary Restriction:
  Suspension is a temporary action and can be undone by unsuspending (activating) the member’s account.

Unsuspending (Reactivating) a Suspended Member

Suspended or blocked members can be reactivated from the Member Profile screen.

1. Go to the Member Profile:

   • Navigate to the profile of the suspended or blocked member.

2. Activate from the Action Menu:

   • In the Action dropdown, the Suspend button will now be replaced by an Unsuspend option.
   • Click Unsuspend to unsuspend the member and restore their full access to the loyalty program, including the ability to redeem points in the marketplace.
